No, I’m not bored. The title implies that if you read through this whole one, you’re obviously very bored. See, it’s a dull day here.

I’ve been laying low. My voice is coming back, but after just getting a phone call I know, it’s in need of a little more rest. Think I’ll tell folks to stick to AIM / IChat for the remainder of the day.

This morning I made the rounds. Hit the pharmacy, bank, and post office (nice post office here). I then returned, did a little clean up work on a site, and laid down for a bit. Re-watched some Ghost in the Shell episodes (great cartoon folks, wishing to see the end of the series now) and half napped.

After getting myself up again I decided to head out to town for a few. The nice medical person and Nissan service advisor I spoke with yesterday told me where I could find a food co-op store in town. I’d explained to her that the Albertsons didn’t have a lot of the food I need now, and she said there were several organic type stores. So I got a general idea where the store was, and found it!
Found the store easily. The Garmin did it’s thing. Stocked up on more Soy Dream soy milk. I could be a spokesperson for Soy Dream I think. It’s the first soy milk that didn’t make me want to spit it out! That would be my marketing campaign for them. Seriously, Soy Dream is not only tolerable, I actually like it at this point.

I found some more rice based noodles too. Nice to change up the food. You can only eat the same stuff so often before you’re ready to break down, eat a pizza, and then pay for it by feeling sick for days. I haven’t had pizza since I got my allergen list. I miss pizza! I really miss pizza!!! Miss Mac & Cheese too, but cheese (milk products generally) is actually one of my worst foods. Milk & eggs, my big offenders!
Other items to occupy time while feeling icky

For a while now, placing the KR1 has been a problem. The KR1 is the EVDO / WiFi setup I have for my internet connection while traveling. It’s a nifty little box, but it really didn’t have a place in the trailer. Sometimes it would be on the dinette table, sometimes on the TV stand thing in my bedroom, and sometimes on the back of the dinette booth seat. No real home for it.

The oh so exciting living room.  See my Hepa filter?
I’d thought about shelving at first. But this morning Rich L suggested (on IChat) that it had slots on the back for mounting. Ummm, oh yeah. Maybe I could have thought of that too, eh?

One of my big hangups is drilling holes in my truck, trailer, walls, etc. I don’t like permanently marking surfaces. Always been a thing with me. But I went ahead and put 2 screws into my Airstream wall in order to mount the KR1. Amazing breakthrough for me. You can see the picture below of the final product.

KR1 stuffed and mounted

After finishing up I remembered that I had a few velcro based cable ties, so I used them to hang the KR1’s power cable. The cable is now neatly stuck to my cloth wall. Looks pretty slick. And no, didn’t take a picture of that, but if you really need to see one let me know. :) And if you’re wondering why I hung it sideways, simple answer. I like to be able to see the display lights quickly to see if I’m on network, or if I fell off and need to reset the device. Don’t mount stuff where you can’t see the display.

While having the camera out I took a few more shots of the trailer interior, just to let you know where I’m writing from. That explains all of today’s interior photos. It also addresses the e-mails that I’ve gotten from readers lateley asking where the pictures went to. It’s been gray for the past few days folks, so these are the most exciting shots I could provide! :D

My work area / dinette (there’s that hepa again…)
See, as the title implies for this post, if you got through it you must be supremely bored. My suggestion….If you have access to Cartoon Network, go watch something cool like Ghost in the Shell, Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto, Zatch Bell, or DBZ. Guess I’m wishing for a satellite setup today (not really, other than cartoons I haven’t craved TV).
