Hooray! I’m actually in to the rally.
This morning, the first item of business was to get me parked. Once again, there was some controversy over me getting in (same parker again). This time we weren’t happy with the way the registration folks did my registration. After a little to do they let me pull into the lineup. While sitting in the lineup my parker returned, and a more senior official was in tow. There was some round about discussion regarding the wrong way I got registered, and I piped up. Bottom line, I paid $290 in total for the event and 30 Amp. If there’s an issue I can pull out of line and cancel my check. The more senior fellow said that wasn’t necessary, and they needed to smooth out procedure between the parking folks and registration.

The big hurdle was dealt with!
Once I got it I was guided along to Section Blue, Row 9. I’m right on the end of the section. Let’s hope the folks down the line from me all use good water hoses. See, water is chained from trailer to trailer at these events. Here’s crossing my fingers. Glad I’ve got my filter though!
Turns out, Rich L is one row over, and only a few trailers down. Hooray.

I’ve already met many neighbors. Very nice. And it looks promising that I’ll sell out the books I’ve got in tow. Only about 100 with me, and I think they’ll go quick (1200 trailers here). If things go good I’ll do a sign up sheet and ship after the fact. Here’s crossing my fingers.
This afternoon I had to head in and finish registration. That took a few more minutes today. There was actually quite a line! When I was done they rang a bell, as I’m a first timer. Odd, but true.

I walked around the vendor area with Rich L and Gunny. Met several readers of the magazine and this blog. Hi all. Feel free to leave comments whenever you like. While looking around the vendor area I got to see several of the newer Airstreams. Pretty cool!

Well, off to make some lunch and get ready to go to a “Vintage” get together. Several people were asking about books, so I’m bringing a few over to tonight’s vintage get together. Funny, I’ve been recognized many times today. Have to get used to that one! ![]()
