I know, where have the posts been?  Clearly not on this site.  :)  Sorry all.  Very little to post on the past few weeks.

Since I got here in Florida things have slowed down.  I lived here for years, so there’s little to explore that catches my interest.  The place lacks pretty mountains.  ;)

I did recently take another ride out to Rollins, so I’m popping a few photos of my old college up just for a look.  Hope you enjoy them.

Well, there’s a quick look around part of the Rollins campus.  It was nice to go back there again, and really nice to visit with a few former professors.  The campus has changed a little, and there’s a nice new parking garage where the “off campus student” dirt parking lot used to be.  Still, I had quite a time finding parking on campus.  ;)

For the near term, the Airstream won’t be rolling anywhere new.  Of all the places to end up for a while, I’ve ended up in Florida again.  Hopefully somewhere in 2007 I’ll head back to the Southwest, and find my new home.

The Digital RV site will start getting updates again soon.  More product reviews, and more thoughts on my full-timing experience in the Airstream.  8 months of living in the Airstream, I do have more insights to share.

And from time to time this blog will get an update or two.  I’ve got a lot of video that never found it’s way into a podcast, and I’ll work on assembling that over the next few months.

Don’t think the Airstream Chronicles is going away.  Just on sabbatical for a bit.  ;)  Glad to have had so many folks follow along.  And glad to have met so many interesting people this year.  Thanks for being part of my trip.

Of course, check back now and again to see when I head back out once more.

In the past few days I’ve been looking around Tampa a little more.  At some point in the near future I’ll do a full update on the blog.  For the moment, here are a few shots from today.  Personally, I really like the first one!  :D

Salsa?

Yes, salsa. My friend O’Neil has been bugging me to come to the Salsa school that he’s gone to, and teaches at. I held him off as long as possible, but given how long I’ve been here in Florida, I could only dodge it so long. ;) So last night I went.

Now, keep in mind, I’ve never been interested in learning to Salsa. How did it go? Ok I’d say. Certainly not the best student there. I feel bad for the ladies who got partnered with me. :D Lost my bearings a few times. You know, a touch awkward. But I tried it all the same.

Who knows, maybe I’ll return next week for the next class.

So, what’s been happening beyond trying a salsa class? Not too much. I’m waiting on hearing back regarding a contract here in Tampa. If I don’t hear back soon, I think I’ll be pointing the trailer West again. If I do hear back, guess I’ll be living in Florida for a bit.

Yes, concerned about the new allergies in this state. But here’s my thinking. Switch rooms have air handlers. They’re close to clean rooms. Might just be the best place in the world for me as I continue to figure out what’s still affecting me and what isn’t.

Still, I’d really like to find an opportunity in New Mexico or Colorado. Really liked both spots, and the more I think on it, the more I know I’d like to live in either place for a while. Amazing, neither place I liked has a Mac store anywhere local! Plus I’ve got many friends both new and old out West, and I’d like to see them again.

Ah, a blog entry returns to this site.  About time, right?

I’ve stepped away from the blog recently.  Just not much happening.  The most I could write about recently was popping by the immunologist, or being on antibiotics, etc.  Not exciting.  Or the fact that my blood work is still weird.  So, hadn’t really been in the mood to blog.

Today I’m feeling pretty good.  Seems the antibiotics are affecting something.  Felt rotten mid-week, and that seems to be changing.  Ok, I’ll take it.

This morning I woke up to a near perfect day.  Had a little decaf and decided to take a run out to Dunedin again.  Wanted to watch the wind surfers and kite boarders (good wind today).  Also, wanted to fly my kites.

Didn’t do my own flying long.  My 2 meter kite took me for a ride several times!  Digging the heels into the sand and everything.

On my ride back there were several wind surfers out, and one guy trying to get going with kiteboarding.  Watched him for over an hour.  Seems like it could be a frustrating sport all by yourself, and I wondered if someone assisted if it would be easier.  Not sure.

Each time the kiteboarder would get his kite up, he’d get dragged a good distance.  So, he’d make his way back to his board, and his kite would end up folding on itself and dropping.  Watched him go through that routine at least 4 times in an hour.  Wonder if he noticed the camera?

In the end, the wind started easing off.  It was clear I wasn’t going to get to watch kiteboarding up close, so I packed up the cameras and headed back to the trailer.

Neat to watch the kite though.  And the windsurfers.  Maybe I’ll windsurf again myself (used to be really good at it).  :)

Well, I was looking forward to having more to blog on, but it looks like things are going to remain quiet for the near future.

I’ll be staying in Florida through the end of the month.  Currently doing a round of antibiotics, and figure I’ll wait until the next blood work to see if there’s improvement.  The last report indicated that stuff is still going on.  Better to sit tight than head out again I figure.

So, updates here will remain slow.  But I’ll get some more work on the Digital RV site again, so check over there.
