So, next week I’ll have a better idea of when I can move on.  I’ll be visiting Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston.  Funny that I’m going there.  That’s where my mom had her bone marrow transplant in 1973.  I’m crossing my fingers.  Whatever the result of the visit, I will be heading west in the near future.

I read several interesting items over the weekend.  First I looked up places with the best Air Quality in the US.  Over the past year I’ve felt that I really notice the difference in air quality between towns.  One of my favorite stops was Santa Fe, NM.  Go figure, it’s #2 on the list of places with good air quality.  Guess I really can tell where I can breathe and where I can’t.  Here’s the link for you to see.

The second read I just received.  Friend of mine sent me this link.  It’s on the relation of 30 genes and many severe auto immune issues.  Here’s the link.  Definitely an interesting read.

Sorry, not really travel related stuff, but items that really impact me currently.  And I found both items to be useful.  The Air Quality list gives me an idea of places to go if nothing else, and confirms why I liked Santa Fe so much.

  1. I looked at the list and find it very funny that Amarillo is on it (albeit, towards the bottom…). There is a reason that you have to turn your vent on recirculate 20 miles outside of the city limits….(Moooo…)

  2. Hi, We are very seriously considering moving into an Airstream this Spring (we are a family of four) until we buy some property and build a house. Do you have any advise to share?
    Thanks. (o:

  3. Thanks for visiting our website! We have added you to our blog list. Thanks for all that you do and we hope to meet you on the road!

  4. Rich,

I had hoped that your absence meant you were too busy to blog, not that you were too depressed and ill. :(

I can’t possibly know what’s it’s like to have so many allergies and to be confined to certain regions of the country by them - and to have to eat only certain foods. But I CAN commiserate on life’s “little hairballs” as I called them in one of my own posts on my blog. The only thing, besides my kids and growing grandsons, that keeps me going is KNOWING that there’s something new around the corner - - and that, unless I keep moving forward (even if just inch by inch), I’ll never know what’s there. Sometimes it’s pain, but sometimes it’s a great surprise that changes everything for the good.
Keep inching around life’s corners, dear friend, and you WILL find that special something that is waiting for you - just around the next corner. I know this sounds sappy, but in my 58 years of existence, I’ve found it to be true.
