This podcast episode might be a little shakey.  So, if you get motion sick, you might want to skip it.

My bicycle does not have a good mount setup for a camera yet.  Therefore, the ride along is just a touch bumpy……  :)

Right behind Point of Rocks campground is a wonderful Rail Trail.  Hikers, bikers, folks on horses all share this trail.  The views are stunning.  I’ll look forward to another ride in a few days.

  1. There are some medications that cause skin sensitivity to sunlight. Have you checked documentaion for side effets for any meds that you are taking?

Also, could you post photos of the trail ride? I prefer not to install the media player your site requires because it oversides Windows Media Player and then I have to go back and uninstall the application in order to get back Windows media player.

    I enjoy your photos.

  2. Thanks for the thoughts on the medications Gene. I’ll double check the warnings. This has been going on since October, and just got really annoying again the past few days.

I’ll get some more photos up from the ride. Just to let you know, Quicktime and ITunes don’t over ride Windows Media player. Only when installing you are asked if you’d like it to be the default. But if you say no, the primary media player is still Windows Media player, with the exception of such items as Quicktime files.

Wish they’d just integrate the media formats in both players. Fortunately on the Mac side there are Windows Media Player converters that will work on Quicktime if you want to see Windows Media formatted files without installing Windows Media Player. I’ll look to see if there’s an equivalent for quicktime files on Windows Media Player.

  3. Gene,

Actually, the last 5 photos from the Catching up from Prescott post are shots from the trail I rode and did the podcast of. I’ll search through for other good photos from that day too. :)

  4. I don’t recall getting the option from Quicktime of identifying it as a default. It’s happened to me twice now, it just takes over.

Some psychotropic medications(for anxiety/depression/psychosis) have extreme sensitivities to sunlight.

  5. Gene,

Sorry to hear that Quicktime installs that way for you. Odd. I retested last evening on my Windows XP system, as I had to upgrade ITunes anyhow. Windows Media player is still my default.

Not on any psychotropic meds. :) Just stuff for the gut & allergies.

  6. Thanks for posting the photos Rich. I also run Windows XP and will have to watch for the prompts more closely if Quicktime surfaces again. Happy Trails.
