Just returned from popping my head out of the Airstream. My power went out a little while ago, so I took a look around to see if it’s just me. Everybody is out. Other folks staying here were out checking around as well.
The owner of the park then drove up and told us what happened. A power pole came down in the winds. Apparently it came down on a car (that’s what those sirens were).
Hopefully the folks who were involved in the accident are ok. I’ll be sitting tight for the afternoon, the winds are wild! The Airstream is rocking a lot in these winds. Glad I’m not in the open desert for this.
The one plus for all of us here at Point of Rocks Campground….. We all have our own power plants in our rigs. So while I won’t be using the microwave for a little while, I still have my own electric supply for computers, the heater, etc. Nice to have a self contained emergency shelter. 
Hopefully I won’t blow away tonight!
