Ah, here it comes. The reality of this “perfect town” Rich has found. Now everyone will hear the dirt!
I have found the one flaw in this wonderful place. The Post Office…..
Yes, you heard me right, the Post Office here is plain nuts. Not the people who work there. It’s the volume of demand there. See, I’ve been trying to ship books for a few days. Every time I go to the Post Office here there is a line of cars out of the parking lot. There is a line of people out of the door. The place is busy from open until closing time.
Now, I’ve looked at the parking lot, and it’s big. It should be 3 times larger given the amount of traffic in and out.
This morning I gave up on the Prescott PO, and went to the Prescott Valley PO instead. Ah, bigger parking lot. Good start. But like the Prescott PO, doesn’t open until 9. And there was already a line forming in the lobby.
So, I hit the UPS store instead, paid twice as much to ship the books, and I feel pretty good about it.
There you go folks, the one flaw I’ve found in Prescott. I do wonder, what are all these people mailing???
Seriously, I love it here! I can safely say that for me, I’ve found exactly what I’m looking for in Prescott, AZ. Now I’m sure the postal workers won’t like me much for picking on the PO. ![]()

Now that Prescott has “kidnapped” you, are you EVER coming to Santa Fe again? Whah!
Maybe I will. Maybe I will.
Prescott is a wonderful spot though…….
yeah, it looks like it. Can’t blame you…
BTW- ever tried Click-N-Ship on USPS.com? I love it. I’ll never mail without it again!
