Just a quick tech note. Big thanks to Brett regarding the issue with Internet Explorer not loading the new page layout properly. The latest theme update I did really came across poorly with Internent Explorer. I’ve made a few changes to the “widgets” and layout in the theme editor, so it’s “tolerable” on Explorer now.  Checked it out on my Windows box, and I’m still disappointed with how things translate.

I’ve made the decision.  I’m not supporting IE past this point.  You can still use it browsing this site, but if you want a great browsing experience I’d suggest using Firefox.  It’s free, open source, and displays really well here. So do most other browsers.

Frankly, I can’t believe the latest version of IE still has issues with sites that are validated by all the validation services out there.  Firefox, on my windows system looks just as good as Firefox on my Mac.  Alright Microsoft, how come it works for everyone else?

In the coming weeks I’ll be adding some more fun features, so I’d strongly suggest using any browser but IE.  :)  Want the Airstream Chronicles readers to enjoy themselves.  :)

  1. I totally agree…Firefox is the way to go. Wish I could do the same for MS Vista….If you’re not forced to, avoid it like the plague.

  2. Larry,

I used to be one of the biggest Windows advocates out there. Mid-90’s, I was really hapy with Win 95, NT, and 98. Moved far away from Mac then. Cheaper on equipment and software for Windows. But swapped to Mac in 02′. Unix based, STABLE, user friendly, and add ons work with the Mac.

The changing winds sure are interesting!

All things equal, thrilled with my Mac, Firefox, Wordpress, and many things “Open Source”. :)
