Yesterday I moved out of my favorite site. 93 was fantastic, large, and full of rabbits, quail, and 1 angry Robin. 89 is small, narrow, and doesn’t have great shade. Don’t think my rabbits will visit me here.

As you can see from the photo, tight site! Ah well, the Airstream makes any site look good. And once again, my awning is out. For the RVers reading along, it’s a ZipDee awning. I’m a big fan of their products, as they work well and are very tough!

img_5529.jpgWhen the Airstream was first purchased I didn’t know much about ZipDee. However, I bought a pair of their chairs as a joke. My thinking, “Hey, better have chairs to match my awning.” Glad I bought those chairs as a joke. They are by far the best camp chairs I’ve ever seen or owned.

The material on these chairs is the same as the awning material. They fold away to nothing. And the best part….they’re an extremely comfortable camp chair! If you’re in the market, check out ZipDee for yourself!

Waiting

Ah yes, still waiting. The decision was supposed to come down yesterday, yet it hasn’t. I know exactly why too. I used to hire people, so I know the deal.

Choice # 1 was probably offered the job. Choice #1 is probably thinking on the offer, weighing it against their current job, and reviewing how he / she felt about the role offered. When the offer was made they requested anywhere from 3 days to 1 week to make their decision.

If the first pick decides against it the offer will come to me. I’ve got one advantage. Getting to think about the role, the group, and the location all in advance. So in that way I’m glad Choice #1 is milling it over right now. :)

  1. That IS a tight space…not a lot of legroom, it kind of reminds me of the first space you were in. I’m hoping the rabbits find you and the punk gangs of errant quail don’t go all territorial and pop any caps in any of the rabbits cottontails…YO!

As for the waiting…you just never know what’s around the next corner, Prescott has a way of exasperating, I mean um, surprising people ;)

    Rich,

Good luck and I hope it works out for you.

  3. Thanks Bil!

Long time now e-mail! I take it you chose not to make the migration to Perry as well. My understanding…hot and humid! I’m really liking the dry heat of AZ.

Maybe the WBCCI should consider Prescott for a rally! :)

  4. Bill Kerfoot says:

The unit for a Prescott rally is 4CU. I doubt if there is enough room for over 1,000 units.

There was no way we were going to Perry in the Summer, hopefully Bozeman next year or if not then the RM VAC rally.

  5. Rich, that’s one sweet looking Airstream! Hubby and I would LOVE to own one of those someday. When we are done fulltiming, and back to vacation RV’ing, an Airstream is EXACTLY what we want. What fun to remodel!

  6. Glad you like the Airstream. Ah, you should see some of the remodeling jobs that go on out there. The Vintage Airstream crowd is a lot of fun, and they do some amazing work with their trailers.

Check out the Vintage Airstream Podcast. They do a nice job with their podcasts, and talk a lot about restorations.

    Thanks for stopping by! :)
