The sun came up a little earlier here in Colorado Springs. So I was up by 5:45. Early starts once more.

As you can see, Pike’s Peak looms in the background. Quite the mountain! I’ll have to do some exploring later, but not immediately. First, campground hunting today. Later, maybe go to where the Cog Train is located to see it first hand.

That’s right, a Cog Train. I was talking with a friend recently who thought the Mount Washington Cog was the only one. But I knew there was another in the U.S., just didn’t know where it was. Now I know, it’s here in CO Springs.

Ah, for the morning giggle, I checked Passive Aggressive Notes again. The latest isn’t so much a giggle as it is a head scratcher. The comments even reflect the big split regarding parenting and day care / baby sitting. If you want to think hard, take a look at the latest note. :)

    Hi Rich,
If memory serves me correctly, I went up to the top of Pike’s Peak years ago with family. We rode a ‘train’ of sorts that climbed that mountain…and I’m wondering if that wasn’t the cog train you’re referring to… hmmm… I remember the ride up was beautiful, and we were almost ’swarmed’ with hummingbirds all over…just darting around…. they sounded like George Jetson’s space car! The air was thin at the top and there was a vista overlooking the ‘world’ below that was amazing!! There’s also a little gift shop up there. Then we took the ride back down. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Good luck on your exploring!

  2. Dang, that Carol has a way with words…now I want to go up and see all the humming birds (not only do I love The Jetson’s, but you know we just don’t have humming birds here) Boy, it looks a little crowded where you’re at…time to find some place to stretch, no?

Oh, the P.A. note’s it funny…did you see the other one about cubicles? It’s a scream!
