Today is the day. Waiting to hear whether or not I’m “in” here in Colorado. Ah, somebody get me a large pot of water……going to conduct an experiment in watching and boiling.

Since the news probably won’t come until the end of the day I decided to take myself out for a ride. Back to West Creek (to check out climbing spots), and then on to Deckers (to look at the river again).

The ride was pleasant. 23 miles out to Deckers if my memory serves me properly.
I think it does.
My first stop was in West Creek, CO. Sheep’s Nose and Turkey Rocks are both there, and listed in a local climbing guide I picked up last week. The drive was worth it too!
The photo here is of Sheeps Nose. Talk about a wild look rock. I’m uncertain how large the rock mound is, but it’s clearly a multi-pitch area. Looks like I have some reading to do!
After the trip out to Turkey Rocks & Sheeps Nose I headed on to Deckers.
There weren’t as many people out fishing as last weekend. That was nice. Parking was easy to find. And the few folks fishing made for interesting photo subjects.
After several hours between the two locations I made my way back to the Airstream in Woodland Park. Right after I arrived my recruiter gave me a call. No news yet, just checking in! Ah, I was so hoping there would be a decision one way or another.
So, keep crossing your fingers………..
