The blog sure has been un-interesting. Don’t you think? Well, I think so.
My mind has been far away from really blogging. Last week was a rough and odd week full of abnormal stuff. Oh, wait, that sounds pretty regular. But last week rattled me.
But I’m here now, and popping up a quick note. So, what’s had my attention?
- Jobs: Shocker there, but looks like some resolution is finally on it’s way. Not exactly what I want to do, but finally someone believed me when I said I plan to stay here. Still, wish Prescott College would contact me, their openings sound fun!
- Contracts: Last week, some database work. Very interesting stuff. A local business needed a hand with their database, and hadn’t gotten very far. I’m friends with a local computer service guy who consults, and asked me what I know about databases. Plenty. So I popped by the business. The owner was totally discouraged, and was happy to see me but figured I wouldn’t figure out the issue, as other companies hadn’t. The problem was identified in under 10 minutes and he was running happy once more (to his surprise).
- Web Contracts: Looks like I’ve got more to do. Another new web site, and working on modifying an OS Commerce installation for a potential client as well. I’ll be working with the local consultant. Good to know PHP & SQL.
- Registering: It’s official. I’m an Arizona resident now. New license, new registration, and a hefty bill to boot (real demoralizing there). I have to pull the trailer over for an inspection before I can register it here. Ugh. Packing up and rolling out for a 10 minute trip. I have everything where I want it. Bummer.
- Staying away from the web: There was an incident last week that really got to me regarding the blog. That’s all I’ll write about it, but it really took it’s toll on my interest in blogging for the week.
Well, there’s the wrap. Now I’m off to toy with a demo site. The Mac has a SQL server loaded on it now, and all my experimentation can take place right on the system. You gotta love Apple! Well, you don’t have to, but I do.

I think the more better question is “where am I going” (or is it, “who am I?”) no matter…let me be the first to officially welcome you to AZ…it’s expensive to live here, we’re running out of water…but it’s worth it! So they say
(that’s what it’s going to say on your new plates, they did away with “Arizona: The Grand Canyon State” And there might be something about bring your own water too) So…welcome to AZ…I for one, am superduperhappy!
Yay for a little job resolution…contracting, and I am drawing up picket signs for the college as I type (I can multi task)
Oh…and TAG You’re IT! Cause’ I tagged you over at the blog…so you’ll have something to write about…You know…in case you don’t already.

Rowan,
I was using IPhoto. Recently I switched to Lightroom. Fantastic program!!! If you decide to go with it you won’t be disappointed.
I also use the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, GoLive). Great suite, horrible price.
Enjoy your new macbook pro. I’ve got one too!
