Yes, this is the morning everyone gears up for.  Some camp out in front of stores the night before.  Hot chocolate, coffee, blankets, and the rest……all for a cheaper computer or other fun toy.

And for once, I think I understand the door buster experience.  See, I’m waiting to do my own.  At 8:00 a.m. the doors open here….and I need to be the first in line.  I’ll be standing there with my needed gear.  Laundry basket, detergent, and drier sheets.  I really need to get some laundry done!

Will there be pushing and shoving in line?  I’ve got no idea.  We’ll see.  Usually if I get there late there’s only one washer.  When my wash is done I wait for a drier FOREVER!

So wish me luck.  Let’s hope I come away unscathed!

  1. Good Luck! Soap, Soap, Soap, on a Rope, Rope, Rope! Scrubbidy, scrubbidy, scrubbidy, scrub!

Don’t you sometimes wish you could make yourself small emough to ride around in a soap bubble on a little Puff O’ Wind?

  2. Tee-hee! I hope all was well with the laundry and there was not too many pushers and shovers…it’s not fun if someone gets soap in the eye! ;)

Thank you for the wonderful Thanksgiving…

  3. Hee hee. At least you didn’t have to work “Black Friday” at your work site.

When I used to work retail, I would always have to work the Friday after Thanksgiving, reporting bright and early. There were many years where I had to report to work sometime 4am, and usually there would already be a line around the store. The special savings of computer products and other goodies were almost always gone 20 minutes after the store opened at 6AM! Then we’d have to listen to customers whine and complain about how there weren’t enough products sent, even though we usually had more quantity of one product specifically for that day than we did in a year… :) I certainly do not miss those days!

  4. Actually, I did have to work Black Friday. Just not the early morning.
