Seriously, I woke up a short while ago and I still want to be asleep. So, not much to blog on as my mind is stuck in neutral, and the body feels as if it’s stuck in mud…..
This is me when I stay up too late. Didn’t get in until 10:30 last night, then the whole dinner thing. By the time I went to sleep it was close to midnight. Here I am, up already and getting prepped for another long day……
My next day off is Tuesday. I had some plans, but I’m looking at scrapping them all and just staying in for the day. Maybe a little grocery shopping, some laundry…you know, the dull stuff.
Any suggestions on ways to unwind and feel truly relaxed are both welcome and appreciated. You know, like how to power nap or something…….
By the way, today’s photo is the non-HDR version of the flower from Route 66. Still a pretty shot, and I thought I should share it with you!

A good foot rub is a great relaxer (if you are not ticklish)
It always knocks me right out! A good glass of wine too!
Experts say if you power nap it should only be for 20 minutes, that way you don’t get into all the crazy REM things, as it is apparently harder to wake up and feel refreshed if you don’t have enough cylces…But, if you take 20 minute power naps, at least you can take a few during the day and still feel frighteningly refreshed (afraid you will oversleep 20 minutes? Come to my house…someone inevitably calls me 20 minutes after I try to lay down and take a nap…I don’t know how they know?!?!)
Until you figure out your nap schedule though, you KNOW I have one of those foot massager/soaker things that I use when I do my pedicures…I would totally be willing to come over and give you one…there’s nothing like relaxed massaged feet (and I have a lovely subtle peach nail polish that would just look fabulous on you
)
The Flower on Route 66 is not just pretty…
It’s beautiful, bright and cheerful, peaceful yet full of life and optimism, and hopeful.
Encouraging and beckoning one to continue life’s explorations.
Thank you for sharing this one in non-HDR format.
I think I heard that flower say, “I’ve got all I need”.
